Janet Bennett - Harpist and Singer
I trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and have been a committee member and Music Advisor to the Northumbrian Branch since the branch was first formed. I teach both clarsach and pedal harp, run regular harp workshops, give recitals, play for weddings and special occasions, have performed to Royalty and am the official harpist to the Lord Mayor of Newcastle upon Tyne.
I can be contacted via my website

Morag Pugh
I have been the Secretary of the Northumbrian Branch since 2007 and am a great believer in putting a bit back to any club or society, which gives so much pleasure. I play, or rather, am learning to play the Clarsach and pedal harp, but I also enjoy playing piano and Northumbrian pipes. I regularly play with the group at its performances.

Judith Anderson
I first joined the Clarsach Society in 1990 when I began to play the harp, with Jan Bennett as my teacher.  I am currently Convener of our Northumbrian Branch and enjoy playing with our group and with Betty Matthews and Jean Thompson as the trio, Clarsair.  I also teach beginners.

Christine Cowan
After the previous treasurer retired I joined the committee, and have been Treasurer since 1988.

Hazel Holliday
I am currently Vice Convener of the society.  I have been learning to play the clarsach for five years now and am very grateful to all those who continue to help and support me in my attempts!

Jacqui Deans
I have been Harp Hire Secretary for the branch since 2001. I have played the clarsach since childhood. I currently teach beginners and enjoy playing with the society ensemble in their performances around the region. I also play in a flute and harp duo, Echo, which performs at weddings and functions.

Kirsty Pearson and Annie Wright are also on the committee in non post-holding roles.
